The Lorain County Metro Parks values and encourages research and other systematic efforts (such as scientific projects, surveys, and monitoring) that add to our knowledge of local species, ecological communities, and environmental processes. This knowledge is used to assist in decision-making related to management, conservation, and public programming.

All Research and collecting efforts require a permit issued by the LCMP each year. In order to apply for a Research and Conservation permit complete the application form below. Any questions regarding research at LCMP can be sent to pr@loraincountymetroparks.com.
