Dorlon Reservation in Columbia Station was the former Dorlon Golf Course that closed its doors in August 2018 after 48 years of business. The former course was well known as one of the first northeast Ohio public courses featuring more than 7,000 yards of play. In 2019, through a partnership with the Audubon Society, Western Reserve Land Conservancy, and the Lorain County Metro Parks, the 260 acres of land was acquired with assistance from Clean Ohio Fund Grants. This reservation features a walking trail that is nearly 1.5 miles long and is home to various wildlife and trees, such as the Pin Oak and Swamp White Oak trees.

Park Features & History
After taking full ownership of the property in 2021, the Park District purposely left the land untouched. This intentional effort allowed the land to heal while additional planning took place. In late fall of 2023, an initial phase of development began to create a new entrance and parking area and the first trail system totaling nearly 1.5 miles. The trail system utilizes some of the former cart paths and a portion of the preexisting driveway. The park opened to visitors on March 4, 2024.
